Walking Group

Pat Bath

This group meets every Thursday at 9am for exercise and fellowship.

Youth Group

Darrel Tjepkes and Bob Bath

This group meets every Sunday evening at 6pm for fun, faith and adventure.

Children's Church

Sunday mornings at 10:30.

This new program for our children, based on the "A Joyful Path" curriculum, began in June and will continue through the summer.

Prime Timers

This social group of folks in their middle to retirement years enjoys a variety of activities such as plays, picnics and potlucks. Please contact Dee Taylor at 541 479-3844 for more information.

Men's Bible Breakfast

Wednesday mornings at 7:00

This group of men meets to share in breakfast and reading from the Bible. All men are invited to join.

United Methodist Women

This is a community of women gathered in a supportive, creative fellowship to expand the concepts of Mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Please contact Pat Bath at 541 479-7890 for more information.


There is a variety of ways to get involved with the musical life of Newman, from handbells to the choir to the praise band. If you would like to know more, contact Doug Bowes, Music Director at 541 779-4316.

Telling the Story Lite

This class is a lighter exploration of the ancient Hebrew stories and examines the relationship between God and Creation. This is a one hour class led by Steven Berry on Mondays from 3:00 to 4:00PM held in the chapel at Rogue Valley Retirement.

Bible Study Class

Steven Berry will continue the Wednesday afternoon Bible Study from 1:00 to 3:00. Hear the stories from the Hebrew Testament and discover a new and deeper understanding of our relationship with God.

Adult video class

Dorothy Summers will be leading the video based adult class beginning September 1st.

The Progressive Christian Study Group

This group is currently studing Living the Questions, a course of study which examines the ideas of many modern scholar theologians, including Marcus Borg and Bishop John Spong. It meets Tuesdays, 10:00 to 11:30AM in the church library. Contact Babs Eggleston at 541 476-7556 with any questions.
